Rebooting: Restoring Service and Shaking out the Bugs

Whether service is totally offline or just acting a little funky, the first step in troubleshooting should be a reboot to the POE (Power Over Ethernet) and router (either leased or personal). All that needs to be done to perform a reboot is to simply unplug the router and POE from power, wait a few minutes, and then plug them back in to power again. During this process, it is a good idea to check the cabling and make sure everything is seated securely right where it needs to be to work properly. It is also a good idea to check the outlet or surge protector to ensure the radio and router are receiving power. If there is no power to the equipment, try a different outlet, surge protector, or both. If the reboot process doesn’t work and all the equipment is receiving power, you can get in touch with our Technical Support Team at 719.937.7700 option 3.
