Terrestrial Fixed Wireless is the service that we use to connect many of our rural customers, who may not be able to obtain Internet service from other types of providers, such as cable or DSL companies. We also provide fiber Internet connections and will check your address when you sign up to see which type of service might be available for you.
Fixed wireless service works by beaming a signal from a fixed access point, located at a Tower or other Network Site, to a radio mounted on your home. This radio can vary in size and shape, but typically it looks like a small dish.
The radio picks up the signal from the access point and is then connected to a Wi-Fi router, which provides online access. The Internet traffic travels back and forth from the Wi-Fi router, radio, and tower, allowing you Internet access to stream movies, get on social media, work from home, and travel the web wherever you need to go.
Fixed Wireless service is an excellent solution for rural or otherwise hard-to-serve areas and is how our company got its start delivering Internet service to the community!
Absolutely! We offer a Seasonal Hold option for Internet and Voice customers planning extended absences. Hold must be used for at least one month with a maximum of six months available per calendar year.
If you have had service with us for at least one year, just call our friendly support team at 719.937.7700 option 1 (one) to let us know you’ll be heading out of town, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Most likely, yes. For fixed wireless service, a cable will need to run from the radio to the interior equipment (POE and router). Fiber service requires a physical line, either hung aerially on power poles or through buried conduit, to connect your home.
Buildings can be prewired for service before the drywall goes up during construction to minimize any visible cabling. You can schedule a prewire appointment for one of our technicians to do this work by dialing 719.937.7700 option 1 (one).
If your home is already constructed and no conduit or smurf tube has been installed, then it is likely there will be visible cabling. Our field team will do their best to make the installation as aesthetically pleasing as possible and will be happy to work with you during the installation to create a plan that works for the service and for you!
In an increasingly connected world, we know how important it is to have unlimited data without hidden fees or throttled service, so Aristata provides buffet-style, all-you-can-eat Internet service with no data caps. That means you can use the Internet all you want, within the speed limits of your plan, without worrying about overage fees, throttled speeds, or service interruption.
So go ahead, watch that movie — it won’t cost you any extra.

Every business is unique. That’s why Aristata Communications offers customized solutions to fit your needs.
Aristata understands the importance of reliability. Backhaul – the link between the network and the World Wide Web – is key to dependable service. Aristata built its network with stable backhaul in mind. In fact, Aristata uses three independent backhaul providers to ensure a redundant connection.
Even with this backhaul system, we know that there is always more work to be done, and we are committed to getting it right by constantly working on customer service and network improvements to create an increasingly more stable and reliable network that won’t let you down.
Aristata provides remote technical support up to the Aristata equipment demarcation point, which is a fancy way of saying the spot where Aristata’s network ends and your internal network begins.
With a leased router, this point is the Aristata provided router. If the router is not leased from us, the demarcation point stops at the personal router.
Essentially, we can only provide full support for routers that we provide. This means our technical support cannot extend to your internal network if you have your own router.
Luckily, we know some great people in the area that can help you optimize the internal network for your business. For help with your integration, consider looking into one of the following companies:
You can also give us a call and we will be happy to provide more detailed recommendations!

Just call our friendly support staff by dialing 719.937.7700 and pressing 1 (one) to review all the options available and update your account.

Tired of bare-bones bandwidth? If you need some extra oomph, our fiber plans will get you the speed you need.
Fiber Internet is a method of service delivery, which uses fiber-optic cables to provide connectivity. We also provide Fixed Wireless Internet connections and will check your address when you sign up to see which type of service might be available for you.
Fiber-optic cables are made from hundreds of small strands of glass, each about 1/10th the size of a single human hair. Light signals send data through these cables to and from your device, allowing access to the internet using the power of light.
Because the data is sent by light through the strands inside cables, fiber service requires hardlines to run directly to your house. This can limit availability to some locations because the infrastructure must be in place for our team to run a physical line, either aerially on power poles or through buried conduit, to connect your home with fiber Internet service.
Luckily, our team is working hard to expand that infrastructure and bring fiber to more and more homes in our community through efforts such as our recently completed Chalk Creek Fiber project, which brought fiber lines and speeds all the way to St. Elmo!

Our network is separate from those operated by mobile phone providers, so we cannot provide cell phone service; however, any phone with built in Wi-Fi Calling can utilize a network connection to make more stable calls.
This means your phone service could be improved when making calls using the Wi-Fi Calling feature while connected to your Aristata wireless network at your home or business. We also offer Voice phone service for your home or business, which is similar to a landline phone but uses the Internet connection to place calls.
If you are experiencing issues with your cell phone and Wi-Fi Calling doesn’t help stabilize your connection, please contact your cellular service provider for help.

Stay in touch with simple, reliable cloud-based voice services.
The reliability of our network is our highest priority because we know how important connectivity is to you.
If you lose your Internet connection because of a power outage at the service address, your Internet will go down and the voice services will not work.
You can protect against this situation by purchasing an inexpensive uninterruptible power supply (UPS), which provides a battery backup for your equipment and will keep your Internet and voice working even if you lose power as long as our network is still up and running. Please be aware, Voice service will not work in the event of a network outage even with a UPS in place.
Aristata’s voice service includes unlimited local and long-distance calls to the US and Canada, and over 35+ advanced calling features, such as caller ID, call waiting, call forwarding, and voicemail. You can also keep your existing phone number or get a new local number. It’s up to you!
Yes! When you sign up for Voice, just notify customer care that you’d like to port your number. You’ll have to fill out a form authorizing the transfer, but we’ll take care of the rest.
Make sure that you keep your existing phone service active until your number has been ported. If the old account is deactivated before the porting process is completed, there is a chance the number could be lost.
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) may sound a bit complicated on its own, but our voice service is used in the same way as traditional telephones. You don’t need to get a fancy new phone to use it. Just plug your regular landline phone into our analogue telephone adapter (ATA), and you’re good to go! Your voice signals are converted into data so they can be transmitted over the Internet, which allows your phone to run over the same reliable network as your Internet.

Aristata will provide you with a small box called an Analog Telephone Adaptor, or ATA. This box will be delivered by mail with instructions or delivered by the field technician if you set up voice service and Internet at the same time.
Your Internet service plugs in on one side and your phone plugs in on the other side. Just connect your regular landline phone into the ATA and use it as usual.
Happily, our service works differently than dial up. You can use the Internet and your voice service at the same time. While they both use the same network, there’s plenty of capacity to handle Internet usage and voice calls simultaneously.
Voice service runs over the internet, so you do need an internet connection to use it. That internet connection can be provided by Aristata or another provider.
